EKG Technician-CE
This program is designed to provide students with the knowledge and skills necessary to accurately obtain and analyze EKGs. The course covers the anatomy and physiology of the heart, the electrical conduction system, and the principles behind EKG monitoring. Students will learn to identify normal and abnormal heart rhythms, recognize life-threatening arrhythmias, detect signs of cardiac ischemia, and understand symptoms of cardiac compromise. Emphasis is placed on appropriate responses to abnormal and critical EKG findings. Upon successful completion, students will be eligible to sit for the EKG Technician Certification exam offered by the National Healthcareer Association (NHA).
