LowCounty Medical Training Center
LowCounty Medical Training Center is an 8,500-square-foot state-of-the-art facility designed to meet diverse training needs, including teaching, assessment, and hands-on clinical skills practice. This expansive space likely features advanced equipment and simulation labs, allowing students to gain practical experience in a realistic and immersive environment.
Medical Administrative Assistant
This course will prepare students to perform routine administrative duties in the medical offices and clinics. Students will be instructed on proper telephone procedures, how to greet patients, update and file patient medical records, fill out insurance forms and handle correspondence. Other topics will include scheduling appointments and arranging hospital admissions and laboratory services. Various office equipment will be covered. This course will cover an extensive list of common terminology used in the typical medical office. After successful completion of the course (40 hours), each student will receive a certificate of completion and will be provided with a test schedule to take the certification exam given by the National Health Career Association. This course is 6 weeks. Requirements: Must be 18 years of age or older and have high school diploma or GE.
