Nursing Assistant
This course provides an introduction to theory and foundational skills in nursing assisting for the student. Content includes lecture and discussion on the role of the clinical nursing assistant, nursing terminology, safety, human anatomy and physiology, screening, medical office emergencies, and patient education and communication. The course is designed to provide preparation for entry-level positions in nursing assisting: Students are required to complete 40 hours of clinical at a site approved by Village Career Center in order to earn a Certificate of Completion.
