Pharmacy Technician

Program description:

This 4-month Pharmacy Technician course will assist the learner with gaining competency in the fundamentals of assisting a pharmacist in the preparation and dispensing of medications in multiple forms. Learners will be trained on the different medication classes, interpretation of prescription hard copies, drug dose calculations, processing prescriptions, laws of pharmacy, and packing medications. This course will be a total of 200 hours and consist of a hybrid learning environment. Learners will attend in person class on scheduled days and also complete online modules that correlate with classroom learning objectives. After successful completion of the course the learner will be able to take their national certification through National Healthcare Association.
