Program description:

Through video and interactive experiences, learners develop the ability to think critically, make real decisions, and excel in a demanding profession. The student, upon successful completion of this course will have reliably demonstrated the ability to: Understand the role of the Clinical Medical Assistant, Legal Fundamentals and Medical Ethics, Communication, Patient Education and Support, Infection Control and Personal Safety, Patient Screening, General and Specialty Medical Assisting, Pharmacology and Medication Administration, Nutrition, Assisting with Minor Procedures, Laboratory Regulations and Procedures and Phlebotomy. Medical Emergencies in the office are conducted Monday- Friday Online at your convenience however weekly clinical labs are held on Mondays 6:00pm – 9:00pm and Every Other Wednesday from 6:00-9:00pm. The total number of hours for this course is 167 hours.
