Program description:

As the demand for medical terminology, PTC will offer basic concepts of fundamental practices and procedures of accurate communication for the healthcare field. Medical terminology concepts will range from prefix, root, suffix, anatomy, physiology, microbiology, microorganisms, and HIPPA privacy rules. Students will be taught how collection and preparation of the equipment is done and the techniques to safely handle contaminated equipment. Students will also learn all the medical tools that are involved as well as learn medical terminology, communication skills, lab safety procedures and experience time in an onsite clinical setting allowing them to have hands-on training under direct supervision.
