The Associate in Arts degree is designed for the student planning to transfer to a senior college/university program or for the student who wishes to broaden his or her general knowledge. The degree stresses communications, social sciences, and humanities. Graduates of the Associate in Arts programs are prepared to transfer to a senior college or university and major in such areas as business administration, education, and liberal arts areas. Students who are undecided about their ultimate educational or career goals will find transfer courses that will apply toward their future major or career choice. Transfer requirements for senior colleges/ universities vary widely and students should work with their Academic Advisor and the transfer institution to plan a specific program of study.
